Adhesive foam expansion joint is available in a range of sizes for common grouting and concreting operations. This filler expansion joint is made from closed cell polyethylene foam and is used to provide support and fill in concrete and brickwork.
It compresses easily with good recovery properties making it ideal as a backing for sealants, fillers and grouts in wall and ceiling joints. This backup filler assists in sealing and gap filling and can be shaped and moulded as necessary.
Expansion joint can also be used as a bond breaker in floor and wall expansion joints and in joints where polystyrene fillers have been used. It helps seal gaps and prevents contaminants such as dirt, dust, moisture and vermin from entering the joint.
Expansion joint is adhesive backed, making it very easy to apply and fit to your project, even on vertical or overhead applications. It is lightweight, easy to cut, shape and work with on non-linear surfaces and is compatible with most liquid and paste type sealants as well as filler foam and silicones.
